Branding, Visual Identity
The Heart Leaf Center
During the CreateAthon organized by AIGA DC, my team was tasked with designing materials for The Heart Leaf Center, which provides child-centered play therapy and mental health support for children aged 3 to 12 and
their families.
This project was dedicated to enhancing THLC’s visual and verbal identity
in a manner that preserves the core values of the brand and honors its foundational journey.

My role was to help create a new brand identity and logo, social media templates, and a brochure for donors.

Branding
For the rebranding, we aimed to implement a strategic shift that elevated both the visual and verbal identity while preserving the brand’s core essence and emotional resonance. The original logo held deep meaning and reflected THLC’s unique story. In the refresh, we explored subtle refinements that introduced greater warmth, clarity, and professionalism, all while honoring the integrity of the original mark. The brand’s color palette remained unchanged, and we introduced expressive squiggles to highlight the playful, creative spirit of art therapy.

Deliverables
I created social media templates for IG and Linkedin, email newsletter templates, Linkedin banners, and a new look for their donor brochure.
I also made sure that all the templates would be editable in Canva so the client can reuse them in the future and keep the new branding.
